AGENCY: Coast Guard, DHS.

ACTION: Request for comments.

SUMMARY: In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995, the 
Coast Guard intends to seek the approval of OMB for the renewal of one 
Information Collection Request (ICR). The ICR concerns Great Lakes 
Pilotage. Before submitting the ICR to OMB, the Coast Guard is inviting 
comments on it.

DATES: Comments must reach the Coast Guard on or before December 15, 
2003.

Information Collection Request

    Title: Great Lakes Pilotage.
    OMB Control Number: 1625-0086.
    Summary: The Great Lakes Pilotage Act of 1960 authorizes the 
Director to prescribe a uniform system of accounts and to perform 
audits and inspections of associations of pilots on the Great Lakes. 
The specific information sought from respondents is that discussed in 
33 CFR Parts 404-407.
    Need: The Director of the Office of Great Lakes Pilotage uses the 
information collected by the Office to carry out financial oversight of 
the associations and to set rates for pilotage.
    Respondents: Associations of pilots on the Great Lakes.
    Frequency: Monthly.
    Burden: The estimated burden is 18 hours a year.
