North Carolina; Amendment No. 3 to Notice of a Major Disaster 
Declaration

AGENCY: Federal Emergency Management Agency, Emergency Preparedness and 
Response Directorate, Department of Homeland Security.

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: This notice amends the notice of a major disaster declaration 
for the State of North Carolina (FEMA-1490-DR), dated September 18, 
2003, and related determinations.

EFFECTIVE DATE: October 1, 2003.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The notice of a major disaster declaration 
for the State of North Carolina is hereby amended to include Categories 
C through G under the Public Assistance program for the following areas 
among those areas determined to have been adversely affected by the 
catastrophe declared a major disaster by the President in his 
declaration of September 18, 2003:

    Beaufort, Bertie, Brunswick, Camden, Carteret, Chowan, Craven, 
Currituck, Dare, Edgecombe, Gates, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Jones, 
Martin, Northampton, Onslow, Pamlico, Pasquotank, Pender, 
Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell and Washington Counties for Categories C 
through G under the Public Assistance program (already designated 
for Individual Assistance, including direct Federal assistance and 
debris removal (Category A) and emergency protective measures 
(Category B), including direct Federal assistance under the Public 
Assistance Program.)
    Franklin, Granville, Greene, Lenoir, Nash, Person, Vance, 
Warren, Wayne, and Wilson Counties for Individual and Public 
Assistance. Direct Federal assistance is authorized.
