competition in local telecommunications markets by ensuring that
competing telecommunications providers are able to provide services to
customers in multiple tenant environments. With this submission to OMB,
the Commission is seeking revision due to elimination of the NPRM
requirement, which is no longer in effect. The NPRM measured data that
was used to guide the Commission as it continues to evaluate and
monitor the need for non-discriminatory access requirements for
Multiple Tenant Environments (MTEs). This data informed us of the state
of the market for the provision of telecommunications services to MTEs,
was measured mid-year 2001. This requirement has been eliminated.
