ACTION: Notice.

    The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance, the 
following proposal for collection of information under the provisions 
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).

DATES: Consideration will be given to all comments received by January 
3, 2005.
    Title and OMB Number: Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation 
Supplement (DFARS) Part 251, Use of Government Sources by Contractors, 
and related clauses in DFARS 252.251; OMB Control Number 0704-0252.
    Type of Request: Extension.
    Number of Respondents: 3,500.
    Responses Per Respondent: 3.
    Annual Responses: 10,500.
    Average Burden Per Response: 30 minutes.
    Annual Burden Hours: 5,250.
    Needs and Uses: This information collection requirement facilitates 
contractor use of government supply sources. Contractors must provide 
certain information to the government to verify their authorization to 
purchase from government supply sources or to use Interagency Fleet 
Management System vehicles and related services.
    Affected Public: Business or other for-profit and not-for-profit 
institutions.
    Frequency: On occasion.
    Respondent's Obligation: Required to obtain or retain benefits.

recommendations on the proposed information collection should be sent
