Background and Purpose
On March 10, 2005, the Coast Guard published an interim rule in the
Federal Register (70 FR 12082) to update the rates for pilotage on the
Great Lakes.
In comments to the docket, the Coast Guard has received three
requests from the public to extend the comment period by 30 days.
We have decided to grant this request for an extension of the
comment period from June 8, 2005 to July 8, 2005. This will allow the
Coast Guard to collect and review all comments before issuing a final
rule.
