ACTION: Notice.

    The Department of Defense has submitted to OMB for clearance, the 
following proposal for collection of information under the provisions 
of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. Chapter 35).

DATES: Consideration will be given to all comments received by March 
15, 2006.
    Title, Form, and OMB Number: Appointment of Chaplains for the 
Military Services; DD Form 2088; OMB Control Number 0704-0190.
    Type of Request: Extension.
    Number of Respondents: 200.
    Responses Per Respondent: 5.
    Annual Responses: 1,000.
    Average Burden Per Response: 45 minutes.
    Annual Burden Hours: 750.
    Needs and Uses: The information collection will provide 
certification that a Religious Ministry Professional is professionally 
qualified to become a chaplain.
    Affected Public: Not-for-profit institutions.
    Frequency: On occasion; Annually.
    Respondent's Obligation: Voluntary.
