Management and Budget of a Currently Approved Information Collection
Activity, Request for Comments; Use of Certain Personal Oxygen
Concentrator (POC) Devices on Board Aircraft
AGENCY: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), DOT.
ACTION: Notice and request for comments.

SUMMARY: The FAA invites public comrnents about our intention to
request the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to approve a current
information collection. The rule requires passengers who intend to use
an approved POC to present a physician statement before boarding.

Type of Request: Extension without change of an approved
collection.
OMB Control Number: 2120-0702.
Forms(s): There are no FAA forms associated with this collection.
Affected Public: A total of 1,735,000 respondents.
Frequency: The information is collected on occasion.
Estimated Average Burden per Response: Approximately 6 minutes per
response.
Estimated Annual Burden Hours: An estimated 172,694 hours annually.
Abstract: The rule requires passengers who intend to use an
approved POC to

present a physician statement before boarding. The flight crew must
then inform the pilot-in-command that a POC is on board.
