Tidewalker Associates; Notice of Preliminary Permit Applications
Accepted for Filing and Soliciting Comment, Motions To Intervene, and
Competing Applications
August 5, 2008.
On March 11, 2008, Tidewalker Associates each filed an application,
pursuant to section 4(f) of the Federal Power Act, proposing to study
the feasibility of the Quoddy Roads Project, to be located on Lubec
Narrows in Washington County, Maine.
The proposed Quoddy Roads Project consists of: (1) 179 proposed 210

kilowatt sea-current generating units having a total installed capacity
of 37.95 megawatts, (2) a proposed transmission line, and (3)
appurtenant facilities. The Tidewalker Associates, project would have
an average annual generation of 82.34 gigawatt-hours and be sold to a
local utility.
