Eastwood Construction, LLC, et. al, Civil Action No. 3:11-cv-83, was lodged with the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. The Consent Decree resolves the claims of the United States against Eastwood Construction, LLC and Eastwood Homes, Inc. (collectively ``Eastwood Companies'') for violations of the federal Clean Water Act and state permits issued in North Carolina and South Carolina. Under the proposed Consent Decree, the Eastwood Companies will undertake compliance programs consisting of, among other things: inspections, training, and enchanced recordkeeping to reduce the threat of discharges of storm water from its residential construction sites. The Eastwood Companies will also collectively pay to the United States a civil penalty of $60,000. The Department of Justice will receive for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of this publication comments relating to the Consent Decree.
