(a) Specifications. The product contains 1 percent of chlorhexidine diacetate in an ointment base. (b) Sponsor. See No. 000856 in Sec. 510.600(c) of this chapter. (c) Conditions of use. (1) The drug is used as a topical antiseptic ointment for surface wounds on dogs, cats, and horses.\1\ --------------------------------------------------------------------------- \1\ These conditions are NAS/NRC reviewed and found effective.
