                  Subpart E--Recordkeeping Requirements
 
Sec. 34.83  Records of personnel monitoring procedures.

    Each licensee shall maintain the following exposure records 
specified in Sec. 34.47:
    (a) Direct reading dosimeter readings and yearly operability checks 
required by Sec. 34.47 (b) and (c) for 3 years after the record is made.
    (b) Records of alarm ratemeter calibrations for 3 years after the 
record is made.
    (c) Reports received from the film badge or TLD processor until the 
Commission terminates the license.
    (d) Records of estimates of exposures as a result of: off-scale 
personal direct reading dosimeters, or lost or damaged film badges or 
TLDs, until the Commission terminates the license.

    Effective Date Note: At 65 FR 63752, Oct. 24, 2000, Sec. 34.83 was 
amended by revising paragraphs (c) and (d), effective Jan. 8, 2001. For 
the convenience of the user, the revised text appears as follows:

    (c) Personnel dosimeter results received from the accredited NVLAP 
processor until the Commission terminates the license.
    (d) Records of estimates of exposures as a result of: off-scale 
personal direct reading dosimeters, or lost or damaged personnel 
dosimeters until the Commission terminates the license.
