(a) The Miami Marine Inspection Office and the Miami Captain of the Port Office are located in Miami, Florida. (b) The boundary of the Miami Marine Inspection Zone and Captain of the Port Zone starts at the eastern Florida coast at 28 deg.00' N. latitude; thence proceeds west to 28 deg.00' N. latitude, 81 deg.30' W. longitude; thence south to 26 deg.00' N. latitude, 81 deg.30' W. longitude; thence southwesterly to the southern tip of Cape Romano, Florida. The offshore area of the Miami Captain of the Port Zone includes that portion of the western North Atlantic Ocean area bounded on the north by 28 deg.00' N. latitude from the coast to the outermost extent of the EEZ and bounded on the east and south by the outermost extent of the EEZ; and that portion of the eastern Gulf of Mexico and the Florida Bay bounded on the north by a line bearing 227 deg. T from the southern tip of Cape Romano to the outermost extent of the EEZ and bounded on the west and south by the outermost extent of the EEZ.
