Nicotinamide-ascorbic acid complex may be safely used in accordance with the following prescribed conditions: (a) The additive is the product of the controlled reaction between ascorbic acid and nicotinamide, melting in the range 141 deg.C to 145 deg.C. (b) It is used as a source of ascorbic acid and nicotinamide in multivitamin preparations.
