The sponsoring organization may request ACTION to remove a volunteer whose performance in its view is unsatisfactory at any time. Before resorting to a formal request for removal the sponsor should contact the appropriate ACTION state official to seek help in trying to resolve any problem with a volunteer. The sponsor may then prepare a written request for removal and submit it to the Regional Office. ACTION may, depending on the circumstances, follow one of three courses of action: (a) Suspend the volunteer, (b) terminate him, or (c) transfer him to another project. [[Page 49]]
