(a) Each SDA shall establish written goals and objectives that shall be used in evaluating the effectiveness of its SYETP activities. Such goals and objectives may include enhancement of basic educational skills through improvement in school retention or academic performance (including mathematics and reading comprehension); encouragement of school completion or enrollment in supplementary or alternative school programs; improvement of employability skills, including provision of vocational exploration opportunities and exposure to the world of work; enhancement of youth citizenship skills; and demonstrated coordination with other appropriate community organizations. (b) Each SDA shall ensure that the activities and services offered under the SYETP are consistent with and will contribute to the achievement of the goals and objectives developed pursuant to paragraph (a) of this section.
