(a) Specifications. Each vial contains ticarcillin disodium equivalent to 6 grams of ticarcillin to be reconstituted with 25 milliliters of sterile water for injection or sterile physiological saline. (b) Sponsor. See No. 000069 in Sec. 510.600(c) of this chapter. (c) Conditions of use--(1) Amount. 6 grams per day, intrauterine, for 3 consecutive days during estrus. (2) Indications for use. Horses. Intrauterine treatment of endometritis caused by beta-hemolytic streptococci. (3) Limitations. For intrauterine use in horses only. Infuse aseptically. Not for use in horses raised for food production. Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
