In computing the period of time for taking any action under this part, the day of the act, event, or notice from which the specified period of time begins to run shall not be included. The last day of the period shall be included, unless it falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or a legal holiday, in which event the period shall extend to the end of the next day which is not a Saturday, Sunday, or a legal holiday.
