(a) Each fall used in a launching appliance on a vessel must be turned end for end at intervals of not more than 30 months. (b) Each fall must be renewed when necessary due to deterioration or at intervals of not more than 5 years, whichever is earlier. (c) Each fall must have a corrosion resistant tag with the following permanently marked on it: (1) The date the new fall was installed; and (2) If the fall has been turned end for end, the date it was turned.
