As used in this subpart-- General freight means supplies, goods, and transportable property not encompassed in the definitions of household goods or office furniture. Household goods means personal property that belongs to a person and that person's immediate family and includes, but is not limited to household furnishings, equipment and appliances, furniture, clothing, books, and similar property (see 41 CFR 101-7). Office furniture means furniture, equipment, fixtures, records, and other equipment and materials used in Government offices, hospitals, and similar establishments.
