                   Tort Claims Against the Government


    The regulations in this part shall apply only to claims asserted 
under the Federal Tort Claims Act, as amended, 28 U.S.C. sections 2671-
2680, for money damages against the United States for

damage to or loss of property or personal injury or death caused by the 
negligent or wrongful act or omission of any employee of the Social 
Security Administration (SSA) while acting within the scope of his 
office or employment.
