   Subpart B_Application, Approval, and Funding of the Highway Safety

Sec. 1200.12  Due date.

    Three copies of the application documents identified in Sec. 
1200.10 of this part must be received by the NHTSA regional office no 
later than September 1 preceding the fiscal year to which the documents 
apply. The NHTSA regional office will forward copies to NHTSA 
headquarters and the FHWA division office. Failure to meet this deadline 
may result in delayed approval and funding.
