                 Subpart F_Post-Designation Requirements
 
Sec. 599.501  Period for which Renewal Community designation is in effect.


    Any designation of an area as a Renewal Community will remain in 
effect during the period beginning on January 1, 2002, and ending on the 
earliest of:
    (a) December 31, 2009;
    (b) The termination date designated by the State and local 
governments in their nomination application, if any; or
    (c) The date HUD revokes the designation.
