(a) Electrical equipment in spaces containing machinery powered by, or fuel tanks for, gasoline or other fuels having a flashpoint of 43.3[deg] C (110[deg] F) or lower must be explosion-proof or ignition- protected, or be part of an intrinsically safe system. (b) Electrical equipment in lockers used to store paint, oil, turpentine, or other flammable liquids must be explosion-proof or be part of an intrinsically safe system.
