(a) Doors on a cooking appliance must be provided with hinges and locking devices to prevent accidental opening in heavy seas. (b) A cooking appliance must be installed to prevent movement in heavy seas. (c) For a grill or similar type of cooking appliance, means must be provided to collect grease or fat and to prevent its spillage on wiring or the deck. (d) Grab rails must be installed on a cooking appliance when determined by the cognizant OCMI to be necessary for safety. (e) Sea rails, with suitable barriers to prevent accidental movement of cooking pots, must be installed on a cooking range. (f) Electric connections for a cooking appliance must be dripproof.
