(a) The Assistant Secretary of State for Administration will issue certifications or other documents when required for purposes of the Civil Relief Act. (b) The Assistant Secretary of State shall whenever possible promptly inform the chief legal officer of each State in which hostages maintain residence of all persons determined to be hostages eligible for assistance under this subpart.
