The Office of Congressional Affairs-- (a) Advises the Chairman, the Commission, and NRC staff on all NRC relations with Congress and the views of Congress toward NRC policies, plans and activities; (b) Maintains liaison with Congressional committees and members of Congress on matters of interest to NRC; (c) Serves as primary contact point for all NRC communications with Congress; (d) Coordinates NRC internal activities with Congress; (e) Plans, develops, and manages NRC's legislative programs; and (f) Monitors legislative proposals, bills, and hearings.
