                         Subpart B_Prohibitions

 

Sec. 591.201  Prohibited importation of any rough diamond.





    Notwithstanding the existence of any rights or obligations conferred 

or imposed by any contract entered into or any license or permit granted 

prior to the effective date, the direct or indirect importation into the 

United States, on or after the effective date, of any rough diamond from 

Liberia is prohibited.



    Note to Sec. 591.201. See part 592 of this chapter for additional 

regulations controlling the importation into the United States of any 

rough diamond from any country other than Liberia, as well as the 

exportation from the United States of any rough diamond from any source.
