mammals, birds and plants.



    The following two species have been designated as Specially 

Protected Species by the Antarctic Treaty Parties and are hereby 

designated Specially Protected Species:



Common Name and Scientific Name

Kerguelen Fur Seal--Arctocephalus tropicales gazella.

Ross Seal--Ommatophoca rossii.
