(a) This subpart contains the procedures required to obtain an Organization Designation Authorization, which allows an organization to perform specified functions on behalf of the Administrator related to engineering, manufacturing, operations, airworthiness, or maintenance. (b) Definitions. For the purposes of this subpart: Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) means the authorization to perform approved functions on behalf of the Administrator. ODA Holder means the organization that obtains the authorization from the Administrator, as identified in a Letter of Designation. ODA Unit means an identifiable group of two or more individuals within the ODA Holder's organization that performs the authorized functions. [[Page 299]]
