SBA's guarantee percentage must not exceed the applicable percentage established in section 7(a) of the Act. The maximum allowable guarantee percentage on a loan will be determined by the loan amount. Effective December 21, 2000, loans of $150,000 or less may receive a maximum guaranty of 85 percent.
