The regulations set forth in this part contain the procedures established by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission for carrying out its responsibilities in the administration and enforcement of title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Section 107 of the Americans with Disabilities Act incorporates the powers, remedies and procedures set forth in sections 705, 706, 707, 709 and 710 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Based on its experience in the enforcement of title VII and the Americans with Disabilities Act and upon its evaluation of suggestions and petitions for amendments submitted by interested persons in accordance with Sec. 1601.31, the Commission may from time to time amend and revise these procedures.
