Any person directly affected by a decision or action of an officer or employee of the National Maritime Center (NMC) involving any of the marine safety functions listed in Sec. 1.01-15(c) of this subpart may, after requesting reconsideration of the decision or action by the NMC, make a formal appeal of that decision or action, via the NMC, to the Director of Inspection and Compliance, Commandant (G-PC), in accordance with the procedures contained in Sec. 1.03-15 of this subpart.
