Sec.  2.937  Equipment defect and/or design change.

    When a complaint is filed with the Commission concerning the failure 
of equipment subject to this chapter to comply with pertinent 
requirements of the Commission's rules, and the Commission determines 
that the complaint

is justified and arises out of an equipment fault attributable to the 
responsible party, the Commission may require the responsible party to 
investigate such complaint and report the results of such investigation 
to the Commission. The report shall also indicate what action if any has 
been taken or is proposed to be taken by the responsible party to 
correct the defect, both in terms of future production and with 
reference to articles in the possession of users, sellers and 
distributors.
