Whenever it is considered necessary to designate a representative under 801.603-70, the following provision will be made a part of the request for proposal or invitation to bid: Representatives of Contracting Officers (APR 1984) The contracting officer reserves the right to designate representatives to act for him/her in furnishing technical guidance and advice or generally supervise the work to be performed under this contract. Such designation will be in writing and will define the scope and limitations of the designee's authority. A copy of the designation shall be furnished the contractor.
